Olamar’s co-developers are Giammarco Vela and John C. Pentz. Mr. Vela brings 15 years of financial investment expertise to the development team, while Mr. Pence has nearly 25 years of development expertise. Giammarco, the managing partner based in Mexico, handles day-to-day operations.

Vela is currently the acting CEO and major shareholder of Sail Group S de RL, which has initiated several real estate projects in Mexico over the last five years.

As a veteran finance expert, he spent 12 years in London working in the financial sector, serving as Vice President of Morgan Stanley and five years as the executive director for Lehman Brothers, responsible for setting up the Lehman Independent Advisory Team.

He is also the owner of Sunset da Mona Lisa, a recognized Cabo landmark on a hillside overlooking Olamar. As a native of Naples, Italy, Vela is an avid world traveler but loves Cabo, where he resides with his wife and children.

John C. Pentz is the lead development partner responsible for the overall project management at Olamar. He brings extensive knowledge of Mexico’s real estate market, having developed area shopping centers and residential projects. He has several projects currently in development or entitlement in Los Cabos, Mazatlan, Culiacan, Guaymas and La Paz.

In August of 1992, Pentz founded Pentz & Partners, Inc., a retail brokerage and shopping center consulting firm representing major chain stores in their real estate expansion and disposition including J.C. Penney, Bally Total Fitness, Albertsons, Sav-On Drugs, Nordstrom Rack, Sears, Wal-Mart and others.

Prior to forming his company, Pentz was Director of Real Estate for the Limited Stores of Columbus, Ohio, and Miller’s Outpost of Ontario, California. He and his wife, Melinda, split their time between Newport Beach, California, and Cabo San Lucas.

Tom LaTour is one of the founding partners of LaTour Signature Group, a joint-venture business with ResortCom Elite, which provides superior management services to small, luxury fractional ownership properties throughout North America. This highly exclusive group will manage Olamar’s owner experiences program, ensuring the highest quality of service for owners and guests.

LaTour has enjoyed an illustrious 40-year career in the travel and hospitality industry. As the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, he brings a wealth of knowledge to Olamar. In early 2007, LaTour joined long-time friend and business associate John E. Small, along with ResortCom International’s President Jeff Healy, to form San Diego-based LaTour Signature Group.

In addition to heading this new business venture, LaTour remains on the board of directors for Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group and also serves on the boards of many nonprofit organizations, including the Hoffman Institute and the REDF “Investing in Employment Hope. Olamar will be the one of two properties to launch the LaTour Signature Group concept.
